DRAW NEAR – THERE’S MORE!
James 4:5-8 NKJV
“Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”? But HE GIVES MORE grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. DRAW NEAR TO GOD AND HE WILL DRAW NEAR TO YOU….”
PRIDE is thinking we can control our life… God Resists the Proud…
HUMILITY is settling the Lordship issue. He is God, I’m not. He gives grace to the humble…
“SUBMIT TO GOD” – (Humble)
“RESIST THE DEVIL…” – (Pride)
“DRAW NEAR TO GOD” – It’s Your Move!
FACE TO FACE – Removing anything between you and God.
That’s where we hear HIS VOICE. That’s WHY we read His Word daily.
Psalm 32:8 – “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.”
When we DRAW NEAR, WE ARE CHANGED!
“Whenever (we) turn to face God…, God removes the veil and there (we) are—FACE TO FACE! (We) suddenly recognize that God is a living, personal presence… And when God is personally present, a living Spirit, that old, constricting legislation is recognized as obsolete. We’re free! All of us! Nothing between us and God, our faces shining with the brightness of his face. And so we are transfigured much like the Messiah, our lives gradually becoming brighter and more beautiful as God enters our lives and we become like him.”
