WIN AT LIFE

Pastor Chase Hall

Listen To Coach

Humble Faith- Intro- honor where honor is due.

Proverbs 16:9 NLT We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.

• Elisha and Elijah- Elijah replied, “Go on back, but think about what I have done to you.” Elisha knew what he wanted and went for it. Total surrender of Gods will

• No plan B- killed the cows and burned the plow.

Listening to coach requires two things from us to be Humility and Faith.

Star athletes have to be able to submit to someone that has gone before them and that may have a different perspective

– We may have our life together and things may be going well but we can always grow. Don’t put a lid on your life.

– Gives Grace to the humble and resist the proud.

For God plans to be prevalent (wide spread) in our life it requires us to live humbly in faith

For a coaches plan to work in the game- requires the team to listen and obey

Humility isn’t thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less. – C.S Lewis

Why should I listen to our Coach?

He’s the road map to success. He knows the plans he has for us. Sometimes the road can be bumpy and not clear but if we have full surrender he’ll get us to where we need to be.

“Phil 4:6-7” 6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Life is easier partnered with God.

Proverbs 3: 5-6 5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Trust that the coach has the best interest at hand. Its the Coach’s job to produce the potential in people. This requires humility.

Help people get from where they are to where they need to be. “Must be fulfilling- like you are part of something bigger.”
