THE ART OF SEEKING
Personal revival and corporate revival aren’t separate things.
Revival begins with intimacy with God.
The danger in waiting for God to do something, while we do nothing, is it creates very passive Christians.
Revival occurs when we begin to respond to what God has already done in and through Jesus Christ.
I want my life to be a perpetual response to what God, through Jesus Christ, has already done.
Where do we begin? Intimacy with God.
What does intimacy with God look like?
“One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life To behold the beauty of the Lord And to inquire in his temple”–Psalm 27:4 NKJV
3 Components of Intimacy
Priority
“When you said “seek my face,” my heart said to you, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.” –Psalm 27:8
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” –Matthew 6:33 NKJV
Desire
“Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good.” –Psalm 34:8
Awareness
You are most aware of the thing you’re looking for.
“He who comes to God must believe that He is, and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” –Hebrews 11:6
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” -James 4:8
3 Strategies for Cultivating Personal Revival
Strategy of Dwelling
Do you have a sacred space?
“He Himself often withdrew into the wilderness and prayed.” Luke 5:16
The Lord wants us to experience His goodness more than we do.
Strategy of Beholding
“To gaze upon his loveliness.”
The heart that says I’ll linger a little longer for one more glimpse.
Strategy of Inquiry
Nothing testifies of our trust and holy fear in God like our inquiry of and obedience to His ways.

Behold
Inquire
Revival is not an isolated event, or a conference we attend. It’s not even the miracles we experience. Revival is a person. The person of Jesus revealed in every facet of our lives.
