Pastor Chase Hall
Would you follow Jesus?
Saying yes to God doesn’t always fit the blueprints you’ve created for your life.
Matt 4: 18-22 AMP
18 As Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He noticed two brothers, Simon who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 And He said to them, “[a]Follow Me [as My disciples, accepting Me as your Master and Teacher and walking the same path of life that I walk], and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 Immediately they left their nets and followed Him [becoming His disciples, believing and trusting in Him and following His example]. 21 And going on [further] from there He noticed two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and his brother John, in the boat with their father [b]Zebedee, mending their nets; and He called them [to follow Him as His disciples]. 22 Immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him [becoming His disciples, believing and trusting in Him and following His example].
Jesus noticed two hard working brothers, got their attention and revised their blueprints.
He noticed- He called- He promised
- He noticed-
- •He doesn’t call the equipped he equips the called.
2) He called-
- He’s not always going to ask you to leave everything but you will always have to leave something.
- Pride- Fear- Uncertainty (facts)
3). He promised- “I will”
- God will never call you without a plan of success in mind.
Jeremiah 29:11- He has plans for you- Your willingness to say Yes, determines the execution and success story of those plans.
Faith without works is equivalent to a Call without a Yes
Pastor Seth next week.
Why would they say yes so easily. Peace that surpasses.
HE NOTICE, HE CALLED, HE PROMISED
