You Cannot Serve God and Riches

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. – Matthew 6:24 NKJV

“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” – Luke 6:13 NKJV

For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. – 1 Timothy 6:10 NKJV

For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, – 2 Timothy 3:2 NKJV

Titus 1:7 (NKJV)

“For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money.” – Titus 1:7 NKJV

“It’s alright to have money, as long as money doesn’t have you.”

MYTH – “That’s in the Old Testament, we’re not under law, we’re under grace.”

“For I am the Lord, I do not change.” – Malachi 3:6a NKJV

God doesn’t change, but we have to.

Myth – “I can’t afford to tithe.”
