Matt. 25:14-30 NLT – “The Good and Faithful Servant”
vs. 21 “The master was full of praise, “Well done. My good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in having this small amount, so, now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!”
vs. 23 – Same response – “Let’s celebrate together!”
vs. 28- “To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.”
Why? Because God is a GOOD STEWARD!
God’s all about stewardship.
What you do with what you have right now!!
- Money
- Gifts
- Talents
His Voice
PRINCIPLE: Do what you know to do and more will be given.
Example #1: The Call of Abraham – Gen. 12:1 – 13:14
- Leave your country.
- Leave your kindred.
- Go to the land I will show you.
Two out of three, is still disobedience!
When He finally obeyed (Did what He knew to do) The promise was given. (Gen. 13:14)
Example #2: Naaman the leper (2nd Kings 5:1-19)
Wash seven times in the Jordan River
We’re notorious for wanting step #10 when we’re on step #2!!
Do what you know to do and more will be given.
I wonder how many times we said we were “Waiting on God!” When the truth is he was waiting on us to do what he’d already told us to do???
We’re really good at giving God advice on how to run the universe, and what he should do so we can be happy! BUT….
Not so good receiving his instructions on how to be Holy!
God’s Word is His Will.
Example: 1st Thess. 5:18 “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you!!!!”
Pray, Be still, Rejoice, Wait, Go, Stay, Give…
