PUBLIC OBEDIENCE
1. Baptism is about going public.
Like wearing a jersey to a football game, baptism is our opportunity to identify with a person, team and family. When we take our next step in baptism, we’re letting the world know we belong to Jesus and we’re on His team.
There is no such thing as a private faith. Jesus died publicly for us, and baptism is our opportunity to go
public for Him.
Publicity isn’t easy- its our jobs as friends and family to cheer them on!
2. Baptism is about being obedient.
Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19).
Thats why we say:
I baptize you in the name of Jesus Christ, in Whom the fullness of God dwells, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
On the day of pentecost About 3,000 people were saved, and the first thing Peter told them to do after salvation was get baptized(Acts 2:38AMP).
“And Peter said to them, “Repent [change your old way of thinking, turn from your sinful ways, accept and follow Jesus as the Messiah] and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ because of the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit..

ALTER CALL
Every baptism is an opportunity to share Jesus’ story. Jesus died to pay for our sin and restore our relationship with God. Then, He rose from the grave, showing His power over death.
