Level 3: Worship Leader

Intro: Recap and Eco System

Eco System of Maturity

-Worship

-Community

-Serving

Our church has committed and designed itself for you to step into this eco system. If you are actively engaging in all environments, you WILL grow.

The heart of this series is not to reteach the Eco System and get you into church, life groups and grow teams, but to challenge you in your own personal Eco System

Are the environments you have created for yourself outside of church producing spiritual health and growth?

Worship Environment:

We gather together during services to praise and worship the Lord, to hear the Word taught, to seek after God (thru pray and altar ministry and communion).

Worship Environment Mission:

“Create an environment for people to encounter God and be moved to respond. “

Looking at our own personal worship environment, we need to ask ourselves some questions….

Question 1.

Every moment in my day to day, am I encountering God’s presence and am I responding to Him?

Romans 12:1 (TPT)

Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to Godto be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.

-We should be looking for God encounter’s everyday

-WWJD (Awareness)

-Our response to God should always be surrender

-A lifestyle of worship looks like a life that is continually seeking after and surrendering to God.

Romans 12:1 (MSG)

1-2 So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.

Question 2.

Am I living a life that helps others encounter God and be moved to respond?

Hebrews 13:15-16 (MSG)

Let’s take our place outside with Jesus, no longer pouring out the sacrificial blood of animals but pouring out sacrificial praises from our lipsto God in Jesus’ name.16 Make sure you don’t take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship—a different kind of “sacrifice”—that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets.

-Living a life of worship is shown in what we say and how we serve

-If we are walking and breathing worship in every part of our life, then our lives should be leading others to Christ!

-We are all called to the ministry of worship leader

Colossians 3:16-17 (TPT)

16 Let the word of Christ live[a] in you richly, flooding you with all wisdom. Apply the Scriptures as you teach and instruct one another with the Psalms, and with festive praises,[b] and with prophetic songs given to you spontaneously by the Spirit, so sing to God with all your hearts! 17 Let every activity[c] of your lives and every word[d] that comes from your lips be drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. And bring your constant praise to Godthe Father because of what Christ has done for you!

-Our eternal calling is to be worshippers and lovers of Jesus.

*In heaven there won’t be a need for laying hands on the sick, preaching to the lost. Those things are good, and we need all of those things now. But for eternity, we will be known in heaven as worshippers! We can tap into that eternal calling right now!

John 4:23-24 (MSG)

“But the time is coming—it has, in fact, come—when what you’re called will not matter and where you go to worship will not matter. It’s who you are and the way you live that count before God. Your worship must engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth. That’s the kind of people the Father is out looking for: those who are simply and honestly themselves before himin their worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit. Those who worship him must do it out of their very being, their spirits, their true selves, in adoration.”

-It’s time to level up in our worship, in our seeking and our surrendering. It’s time to go beyond being spectators and participators and start becoming the worship leaders God has designed us to be.
