DREAM ON

Pastor Mark Carrillo

Part 1: Dream Big

 Ephesians 3:14-21 TPT

“Rich people plan for three generations. Poor people plan for Saturday night.” Warren Buffett “Someone’s sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago.”

Dream — “cherished aspiration, ambition, or ideal” — deepest heart desires Fantasy — “an idea with no basis in reality”

What do you want more of or less of?
What have you always wanted to do, be or have? What would bring you the most alive?

“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.”

(Ephesians 3:20 TPT)

1 — HOLY SPIRIT WHAT’S YOUR DREAM FOR MY LIFE?

God’s plan for your life is closely linked to the abilities He gave you and His purposes.

How does Jesus want to love others through you?

“But God’s amazing grace has made me who I am! And his grace to me was not fruitless. In fact, I worked harder than all the rest, yet not in my own strength but God’s, for his empowering grace is poured out upon me.” (1 Corinthians 15:10 TPT)

Grace operating in your life attracts the right people and resources to accomplish the dream.

Live out of your spirit’s imagination.

The moment your dream exceeds your circumstances, faith will propel you toward your dream.

2 — GOD’S DREAM FOR YOU IS UNPRECEDENTED

“But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— these things God has revealed to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.”

What eyes have seen – what’s been done before Ear has heard – someone else’s results;
Entered into the heart – someone else’s dream

(1 Corinthians 2:9-10, ESV)

“This is why the Scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine — these are the many things God has in store But God now unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things.”

1 Corinthians 2:9-10 TPT “”Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater

works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12, ESV)

Jesus was in business longer than He was in ministry.
Every business starts as someone’s dream.
Every problem that has ever been solved has been solved through imagination.

3 — HOLY SPIRIT WHAT IS A STEP I CAN TAKE TOWARD YOUR DREAM FOR MY LIFE?

There is something about writing it down that makes a huge difference.

Make a list of things you’d like to do or have; places you would like to see; relationships you would like to focus on; add any other dream you can find in your heart for you and your family.

Sequence & Process — Spelled W-A-I-T-I-N-G, W-O-R-K; PATIENCE, FAITHFULNESS

“By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.” (Proverbs 24:3-4, ESV)

“Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house.” (Proverbs 24:27, ESV)

The difference between “could” and “will” is simply a matter of commitment. Turn your “could’s” into “wills.”

DREAM BIG — a dream too big to be confined, one that breaks out of the box. If you focus on what you lack, your containment will seem reasonable.

“For the promise to Abraham and his offspring that he would be heir of the world did not come through the law but through the righteousness of faith.” (Romans 4:13, ESV)
