Level 5 – Permission Granted
Too many Christians believe that they are powerless, inferior and useless.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5, ESV)
You Have Been CHOSEN and APPOINTED
“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruitand that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.” (John 15:16, ESV)
Jesus was rejected, we have been chosen . . .
If we aren’t bearing “much fruit” maybe we’re not doing much abiding.
“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” (1 Peter 2:9, ESV)
“All Your works shall praise You, O LORD, And Your saints shall bless You. They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power, To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.”(Psalms 145:10-12 NKJV)
You Have Been Given a Ministry:
“All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:18-19, ESV)
You have been reconciled now get others reconciled
He entrusted us with the message — There is no Plan B
Permission Granted to do what previously couldn’t be done:
“These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, “Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of the Samaritans,” (Matthew 10:5, ESV)
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”” (Acts 1:8, ESV)
You will have permission to do what you formerly could not do. You can now go where you couldn’t go before!
Permission Granted!
You can grow as much as you want to grow.
You can serve as much as you want to serve, worship as much as you want to worship . . .
Permission Granted, however, God’s dream will take on substance when we take action. Don’t judge your calling by what the people on this platform do . . .
“If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.” (John 15:7-8, ESV)
Requests make up only the smallest part of Prayer — Praise and Proclamation are Primary
We need to say Permission Granted to the Father
“”But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.” (John 15:26-27, ESV)
God’s only limitation is our lack of cooperation PERMISSION GRANTED to LEVEL UP!
