“Has it ever occurred to you that one hundred pianos all tuned to the same fork are automatically tuned to each other? They are of one accord by being tuned, not to each other, but to another standard to which each one must individually bow. So one hundred worshipers met together, each one looking away to Christ, are in heart nearer to each other than they could possibly be, were they to become ‘unity’ conscious and turn their eyes away from God to strive for closer fellowship.” ― A.W. Tozer
1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and [b]finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. – Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV)
“Momentum solves 80% of your problems.” — John C. Maxwell
Momentum is in the minds and attitude of the players!
9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, 10 called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,” 11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing.
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the [a]oracles of God; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who are [b]of full age, that is, those who by reason of [c]use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. – Hebrews 5:9-14 (NKJV)
Hebrews
14 But solid food is for full-grown men, for those whose senses and mental faculties are trained by practice to discriminate and distinguish between what is morally good and noble and what is evil and contrary either to divine or human law. – Hebrews 5:14 (AMPC)
There are christians who have lost their momentum when it comes to their christian walk!
1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. – Ephesians 5:1 (NKJV)
1 Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
2 Now I praise you, brethren, that you remember me in all things and keep the traditions just as I delivered them to you. – 1 Corinthians 11:1-2 (NKJV)
Self-motivated is simply being able to initiate, generate and maintain momentum in a company or group of employees.
A LEADER knows how to initiate, generate and maintain momentum.
Being self-motivated is simple a follower of self imposed goals and the first steps to get things going.
It’s impossible to accomplish anything worth accomplishing without actually taking whatever steps are required to make it happen.
The hardest step is usually the first one.
If we can just find it within ourselves to take that first step–to get the proverbial ball rolling–the next step will likely be easier.
You’ll never reach your goal if you never take the first step and start working towards reaching it.
“What simple action could you take today to produce a new momentum toward success in your life?” – Tony Robbins
The first step towards reaching many goals is simply overcoming fear.
A ‘FIRST STEP’ is actually faith in action.
27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. 28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”
29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the [a]affliction. – Mark 5:27-29 (NKJV)
The faith to get healed was in her heart but didn’t manifest until she acted on it.
56 Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well. – Mark 6:56 (NKJV)
Hebrews
8 Faith motivated Abraham to obey God’s call and leave the familiar to discover the territory he was destined to inherit from God. So he left with only a promise and without even knowing ahead of time where he was going, Abraham stepped out in faith.
9 He lived by faith as an immigrant in his promised land as though it belonged to someone else. He journeyed through the land living in tents with Isaac and Jacob who were persuaded that they were also co-heirs of the same promise. – Hebrews 11:8-9 (TPT)
Have you discovered your destiny?
A ‘FIRST STEP’ in acting on your faith is not on what you see in the natural.
Abraham leaving the comfort and security of his surroundings and moving on The Word of God.
That THING you are being DRAWN TO but are NERVOUS about DOING….
What is YOUR FIRST STEP?
What is HOLDING YOU BACK?
TAKE THE STEP – TAKE THE STEP – TAKE THE SHOT!
Regret is a hard thing to carry.
Your FIRST STEPS are about:
What you want NOW
And
What you want MOST
No matter how far you have run from The Lord,
He is always just one step back in the right direction!
